Control Techniques | Unidrive M300 Dual Safe Torque Off

In this video we show the capabilities of Control Techniques Undirive M300’s Dual Safe Torque off (STO) function. This safety feature enables the drive to have a SIL3/PLe conformity. This feature comes standard onboard the M300 with no additional add on or cost.

Control Techniques Unidrive M300

Control Techniques Unidrive M300 variable frequency AC drive (VFD) provides flexible integration with safety and communications. Unidrive M300 is ideal for applications that require cost-effective integration into safety systems. With dual Safe Torque Off (STO) inputs for SIL3/PLe conformity, onboard PLC and an SI interface for an industry standard fieldbus, Ethernet, or extended I/O options, this feature set ensures flexible integration with any system. An AI-485-ADAPTOR and AI-485-24V-ADAPTOR is available to provide additional Modbus RTU communications. Additionally, the AI-485-24V-ADAPTOR provide an input for 24 V backup. Rotor Flux Control (RFC-A) provides exceptional induction motor control and high stability for demanding applications. The onboard PLC can be programmed using IEC 61131-3 programming environment incorporating Structured text (ST), function block (FBD), sequential function chart (SFC), ladder diagram (LD), instruction list (IL), and continuous function chart (CFC)

  • DIN rail alignment is supported below 2 hp (1.5 kW)

  • Remote-Keypad: Remote mountable, plain-text, multi-language LCD keypad allows flexible mounting outside of a panel and meets IP66 (NEMA 4)
  • Remote-Keypad-RTC: The keypad is remote mountable, enabling flexible mounting on the outside of a panel (meets IP54/ NEMA 12). Three line plain text, multi-language LCD keypad for rapid set-up and helpful diagnostics. Battery operated real-time clock allows accurate time stamping of events, aiding diagnostics.
